Pagkarahay Painting Exhibit
An interesting mix of different local art groups and artists participated in the Pagkarahay Painting Exhibit. The exhibition was launched on February 24, 2018 at the Research Center of Central Bicol State University of Agrilculture (CBSUA. The opening was graced by Dr. Georgina Junsay (CBSUA President) and Mr. Francis Belen (Pili, Camarines Sur Tourism Official).
The CBSUA Research Center was temporarily transformed into a gallery to accommodate the Pagkarahay Painting Exhibit. The Sagurong Artists Society and Kintab Art Group led more than 20 artworks from different parts of Bicol to participate in the exhibit.
Art collector Ron David loaned paintings from his collection featuring 11 artists from Manila and other provinces for display at the festival. The exhibit featured works by Hermes Alegre , Oscar Salita, Roel Obemio, Manny Pingol, Ivan Roxas, Dominic Rubio, and Kublai Milan.
More than 20 artists from the region participated in the exhibit. They were guided by the concept of Pagkarahay, which is a Bicolano term for "return to wholeness."
