Lorebert Comision

Lorebert identifies himself with the Maralita, the poor and meek. His canvases depict the struggles of the working class- factory workers, laborers, and farmers.

A deep faith in the interwoveness of things and the search for a sense of wholeness drives his creative process. These linked narratives are expressed through his double exposed videos and photos; and deconstructed paintings whose canvases are pierced, woven and incorporated with found objects.

Maralita is a multimedia artist studying Fine Arts at the Adventist University of the Philippines. He has won numerous awards in various media categories including the Vision the Vision Petron Art Competition and the National Shell Art Competition, and has been exhibiting his works since 2016.

He is an active volunteer in independent advocacies and was recently part of the Art Tugon outreach to the Taal evacuees in Brgy. Tumaway, Talisay, Batangas.
